How to Learn Confusables There/Their - Where/Were

ATeacherWrites.com

Confusables are just plain confusing. It doesn't help when words like 'there' and 'their', 'where' and 'were' are taught together in a block.

I do a lot of work with dyslexic students, so here's a picture I did to help them. Pictures work because the visual memory is stronger than that for text. Put the text inside the picture and it's easier to remember.

I love to group words that students can spell with words they can't. Link 'here' to the other words for place: 'there' and 'where'.

Easy.
